Synopsis

In this season Buffy and the Scooby gang face amongst other grizzly ghouls, vampires and demons, the greatest vampire of all time, Dracula. Buffy has major boyfriend troubles too this season, Riley finally forces her to discuss the relationship and the fact that it means more to him than her. It's Xander who comes to Buffy's emotional rescue, shedding light on the fact that she has held her beau at a distance because she still harboured pain from her past relationship with Angel. With a cocktail of great new characters and typically witty and gripping story lines Buffy Season Five is a must have addition to every Buffy collection.

Tragedy strikes when Buffy and her friends and their lives change forever when they must come to terms with the loss of someone very close to them.

Forever
Buffy and Dawn try to deal with the loss of their mother in different ways. While Buffy is consoled by Angel, Dawn performs a spell to bring her mother back from the dead.

Intervention
Buffy goes on a quest guided by the First Slayer. Meanwhile, Spike builds a Buffy robot who is hopelessly devoted to him.

Tough Love
Buffy must act as the authority figure for Dawn now that their mum is gone. Meanwhile, Buffy fears that Glory is closer to discovering The Key when she takes one of Buffy's friends hostage.

Spiral
Buffy and the gang go on the run after Glory discovers that Dawn is The Key. Escaping Sunnydale, the gang battles the Knights of Byzantium. Soon Buffy learns the secret behind Glory and The Key.

The weight of the World
While Buffy's friends argue about how they can help her, Willow takes charge and casts a spell to enter Buffy's mind. Meanwhile, Glory starts to feel guilty for what she has to do to Dawn.

The Gift
Glory's plan opens the dimensional gate, putting Dawn in jeopardy. Buffy makes the ultimate sacrifice, choosing between her own life and the life of a loved one.
