Vincent (Jacques Bidou) decides that he can't take the monotonous routine of another Monday Morning: the long commute from his home village, his uninspiring job at a factory and demanding family obligations that always interrupt his passion for painting. In the hope of finding what's missing from his life, he decides one day to see a little of the world and travel to Venice, encountering a delightful array of eccentric characters en route. Reminiscent of Jacques Tati, Iosseliani's comedy is a whimsical voyage of self-discovery that ammusingly observes the absurdities of everyday life and human behaviour.
