My Wife Is An Actress

My Wife Is An Actress

A noisily enjoyable romantic comedy ' terrifically deft! A picture about the thick line that separates movie glamour from the real world, and the thin line between common sense and paranoia.'
-          Elvis Mitchell, New York Times

Yvan, a young sports writer, is married to an actress who is very well known - Charlotte. Her fame makes it difficult for them to live a normal life, but Yvan is able to take her stardom in his stride. Until, that is, a man at a bar asks him if he gets jealous watching his wife make love to another man on screen.
It never seriously bothered Yvan before, but the stranger sows the first seed if doubt in his head. Charlotte has handled all of Yvan's insecurities, but when she goes to London to shoot her latest film which co-stars Terence Stamp, Yvan's questions become more and more insistent. Stamp is between relationships and Charlotte, worn down by Yvan's jealousy, starts to doubt their marriage. Suddenly, the actors' good-natured, touching and very human relationship starts to get more serious.
Yvan Attal has used his own marriage to the famous actress Charlotte Gainsbourg as the basis for this finely- judged, warm and intensely involving comedy about male insecurity and jealousy
