Only The Lonely

Danny Muldoon (John Candy), a Chicago policeman, still lives wis his overbearing mother Rose (Maureen O'Harar). He meets and falls in love with Theresa Luna (Ally Sheedy), whose father owns the local funeral parlor. Naturally, his mother objects to the relationship, and Danny and Theresa must either overcome her objections  or give up the romance. ONLY THE LONELY marked Maureen O'Hara's return to film after a 20-year absence, and was directed and written by Chris Columbus.
