Sineater

When an excommunicated priest dies under mysterious circumstances, his protégée, Alex (Heath Ledger), is sent to Rome to investigate. He soon discovers that a "SIN EATER", a mysterious beast that literally eats sins may have had a hand in the death. Bernier launches an investigation that forces him to confront unimaginable evil in a dark underworld of bizarre heresy, ominous prophesies and demonic intrusions where he gains the terrifying knowledge that there is a fate worse than death.
