Isa is twenty.

All her possessions fit in her backpack. She arrives in Lille after wandering from city to city looking for small jobs, never the same ones and never for long.

Marie is also twenty and has always lived in the north. A loner, like Isa, but for different reasons. They meet at the clothing factory, and share a flair for rebellion and attraction to the same men, soon become  friends.
